Studying the Hand

The first figure I ever made was of a man lying in my hand. I never finished it and can’t find pictures, but I remember that I never ended up giving him a head, hands, or feet. Those parts seemed hard and I wasn’t up to the challenge at the time.

In making EWR, I put off adding her hands for as long as possible. I was afraid of their complexity and nervous I wouldn’t be able to make them delicate enough. I thought if I made a big hand it wouldn’t seem so scary anymore
