Studying the Human Skull

There’s a video floating around recommending figure artists pickup the book Artistic Anatomy by Dr. Paul Richer. The first half of the book describes the form of the human body, the second half features detailed illustrations (called “plates”) of bones, muscles, and the exterior form. But when the book arrived, I realized the plates are all of the male form, and all my projects are of women. The sex of your reference doesn’t matter much if you’re only making bones, so I’m studying a skull to use my new book
